About Me

Hey there!

I'm Beno Urena—your go-to gal for stories and spontaneous dance parties! Born in the Dominican Republic, I am an actress and dancer based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Alongside my two loving parents and older brother, I was raised in a few states including Florida, California, and Connecticut.

Theatre is my heartbeat, and I recently snagged a degree in it from Western Connecticut State University. But to be honest, it's not just about the paper; it's about diving headfirst into a world of characters, emotions, and a whole lot of fun. Along this wild ride, I've had the incredible opportunity to learn from and collaborate with some industry professionals like Chris Bolan, John Hickok, Tim Howard, Matt Newton, and the fabulous Cady Huffman.

Dance is not just a skill for me; it's a journey shaped by incredible mentors like Mary Ann Lamb, Diana Dart Harris, former Rockette Jennifer Turrey, Claire Altamura, and Lisa Norona. My versatile training spans musical theatre, jazz, ballet, contemporary, and modern dance. Beyond the stage, I've lent my choreographic touch to projects like Rodgers and Hammerstein's Allegro, Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses, and Jenny Rodgers'.

When I'm not striking a pose on the dance floor, I'm daydreaming about being a superhero in a Marvel film. A girl can dream, right? More than anything, I'm on a mission to spread smiles, inspired by the incredible Cameron Boyce.

Join me, Beno Urena, on this wild ride where laughter is a must, dance moves are encouraged, and good vibes are guaranteed. Let's make some memories!
